TintScale ("we", "us", "our") is a design token generator operated by Lime Apps. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use tintscale.com.
Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account via Clerk, we store your name, email address, and profile image. This information is managed by Clerk's authentication service.
Usage data: We use Vercel Analytics and Sentry to collect anonymous usage statistics and error reports. This includes page views, feature interactions, browser type, and device information. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics data.
Saved palettes: If you save palettes, we store your palette data (colors, typography settings) in our database linked to your account.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the TintScale service
- To manage your account
- To send transactional emails (account verification, receipts)
- To improve the product through anonymized usage analytics
- To detect and prevent errors via crash reporting
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate TintScale:
- Clerk — authentication and user management
- Vercel — hosting and analytics
- Sentry — error monitoring
- Neon — database hosting
Cookies
TintScale uses essential cookies for authentication (managed by Clerk) and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and privacy-friendly.
Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data and saved palettes within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your saved palettes at any time
Security
We protect your data with HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Clerk, and database encryption at rest. API endpoints are rate-limited and webhook signatures are verified cryptographically.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of TintScale after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
